Musical History:
Started with St Agnes Silver band at the tender age of 10 & a bit, Was
a member of The Band of the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary for 20 years until
it was axed! (Not that all the ex Police Bandies are bitter!) As Well as
Bryanek Brass I am playing solo cornet for Riviera Concert Brass (aka RCB
aka Reconstituted Constabulary Band - Just about all of the old Police Band
effectively) and a member of Newquay Band. Have played for
Saltash Town Band. Have sat in with a few others to help and once even
the Royal Marines as an invited extra (they must of been desperate! but Half
their rank were in Iraq at the time!) Have also tried out an Orchestra in my
younger days. but I much prefer all Brass..
Best Musical Blip:
B flats!!! Sometimes I just have a handful of thumbs!!!! I have too many
blips to remember!
Best Musical Achievement:
Not necessarily an achievement but Playing at Wembley for a cup final was
good! In fact 3 finals. Admit ably they were lower league finals but it was an
experience. Have played at some stage for most members of the Royal Family at
least once and Fanfares for H.M The Queen twice, the last time when she visited
Truro for her Golden Jubilee.
Favourite Piece:
Lots !
Favourite Drink:
Tanglefoot... ...and as Del says " remember to treat every day as your
last, because one day you will be right; drink Tanglefoot regularly to make sure
you do not get caught out!"
